A catch-all e-mailbox is one that gathers all the email messages sent to invalid email addresses. For example, if your address is info@domain.com, but someone misspells it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Just one mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and in this way you will never miss messages because the other side has an outdated address or has made a mistake. The drawback of having a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving plenty of spam email messages, but this problem can be solved using an anti-spam filtering solution. It is also crucial to bear in mind that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all feature cannot forward inbound emails to a 3rd-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

You will be able to configure a catch-all mailbox without effort if you’ve got a hosting account with us. The Email Manager in our custom-created Hepsia Control Panel is feature-laden, yet exceptionally easy to use, and it will allow you to activate various features, including the catch-all one, with just several mouse clicks. All the mailboxes that you have set up will be displayed alphabetically in this section and on the right-hand side of each of them you will find a small-size "Catch-all" icon. Clicking it once will enable this feature, clicking it for a second time will deactivate it. As you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will warn you if you already have a different one with this option activated or if you have active email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all feature can be activated without difficulty if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you have created using the domains hosted in your account will be displayed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll find a mini sign handily located directly next to each of them. With just one mouse click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking provided that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with the option already activated and there isn't active email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and enable this feature through the contextual menu that will pop up. If any of the requirements for creating a catch-all mailbox is not matched, our system will inform you, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
